recognized as one of 2014's top IT leaders by Computerworld

Image: Paige Francis Fairfield University Chief Information Officer Paige Francis has been recognized as one of the 2014 Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders, by Computerworld, a leading IT media brand. Ms. Francis joins an international list that includes IT executives from city, state and federal government, financial institutions, the health industry, and private sectors. She is one of four higher education executives on the list, and the only CIO from a Connecticut university or college. Honorees were selected for their demonstration of positive management strategies, innovation despite business challenges and effective use of information technology. The Premier 100 honorees, along with their successes, will be featured in the February 27, 2014 issue of Computerworld, on Computerworld.com.

Paige Francis was appointed Fairfield University CIO in January 2013, bringing more than 15 years of technology experience to the new position, from web development to systems management to disaster recovery/business continuity. She has experience in the private sector and the higher education field. As the chief information officer at Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC), she established a five-year IT strategic plan and developed a strong technology governance structure. Under her leadership, the NWACC IT department evolved into a value-added, reliable service provider with an improved campus infrastructure, earning national recognition for its innovative use of technology.
